5. Our team

Vahinetua Sandrine Kug Hue – Travel consultant

Vahinetua is her Polynesian name which means in paumotu «women of the ocean». Born in Tikehau, a real treasure of the Tuamotu, Sandrine started her career in tourism as a stewardess (“Gaugine”) on the Paul Gauguin, a cruise ship that operates in French Polynesia since many years.
She then worked for a big inbound agency and continued to deal with cruise customers in organizing on site their transfers and excursions. So it’s obvious that she knows very well all excursions providers of our islands and has privileged relationships with them since a long time.
Willing to join a smaller team, she joined our agency in 2006. She is of course unbeatable on all cruises in French Polynesia and knows veery well the Marquesas islands.

Her favorite island: Tikehau
Her favorite Polynesian meal: Uru punu pua’a toro (breadfruit and cooked corned beef)

Mary Anne LEOU – Travel consultant, scuba diving specialist

Born in the Philippines, she spent her weekends and summers at her parents’ seaside hotel specialized in marine sports. With her parents she started scuba diving at a very young age and became a PADI certified Divemaster at age 18. She is passionate by travel and she likes learning new cultures and meeting people from all around the world. English is her native language and it has allowed her to visit various countries like Chili, Thailand, Japan, most of Western Europe, Canada and the US - notably where she obtained her MBA. She discovered French Polynesia and finally settled in Tahiti in 1990, involving herself in various professions linked to English translation and tourism. She is now part of the e-tahititravel team as a travel consultant specialized in scuba diving since August 2011. With 400 dives under her belt and knowledge of the TOPDIVE centers, she will be pleased to answer any questions regarding any diver’s travel and diving needs.

His favourite island: Fakarava, because of its savage beauty and its incredible marine life.
His favourite Polynesian meal: Eina’a fritters. This local snack is prepared with little fish fry, traditional of the islands called Eina’a.

Herald NANAI – Travel consultant

Herald has become a travel consultant by curious coincidence.
He was originally decided on an English teaching career, and has left for the United States to perfect his english. He has lived San Diego (USA) between 2004 to 2006, during which time, he worked as a travel consultant for a travel company. From that moment on, he found his calling. Back to Tahiti in 2006, Herald worked for a well-known local travel agency, obtaining incredible knowledge of the Polynesian tourism market through various relationships.
Since December 2011, Herald has joined eTahiti Travel, and counts as one of our travel consultants, specialized in English-speaking customers. Every call received by Herald, is a real linguistic experience.

His favourite island: Tubuai, representing a bunch of pleasant memories, where he used to spend his childhood with his grandparents.
His favourite Polynesian meal: Ipo. He likes to eat this traditional bread with coconut milk

William JOSEPH – Marketing assistant

William was born in the city of Lyon. His parents had always dreamt of coming to French Polynesia and so did when he was 5 years old. Having been raised mainly in Tahiti, he now considers himself more like a Polynesian. He is passionate about drawing and spending every moment with his friends is an inspiration to him. He enjoys the rhythm of living in the islands. In 2010, he returned to France for one year to conclude his studies in business school. William is very interested by Web marketing, Graphism and French Polynesia in general. Back in the “Fenua”, he has been part of the e-tahititravel team as a marketing assistant since November 2011. His aim is to promote the travel agency and the destination with the help of his skills in web marketing as a today’s communication tool of choice.

His favourite island: Bora Bora, the most famous Polynesian island in the world. He likes this island for its beauty and authenticity.
His favourite meal: Polynesian Sashimi. This Japanese meal with a twist is locally adapted thanks to a secret sauce of different flavours.

Coming from the hotel business, Emmanuel arrived in French Polynesia in 2000. He worked during a few years as head of the cruise department of an incoming travel agency in Tahiti and participated in the creation of our agency. E-Tahiti Travel is his baby. He masters with verve the internet tool and has very good relationships with the main tourism actors in Polynesia, which allows the agency to be competitive on rates and on the quality of its services.
Emmanuel is a certified diver (CMAS 2**) and knows perfectly the best diving spots of French Polynesia.
