Tipping |

Although not forbidden tipping is not usual in French Polynesia and consequently it is not expected. But of course, if you feel that you were well attended, your tip will always be appreciated. |

Tourist
development tax and Service charge |

A fee of 150 CFP per day and per person wil be charged in hotels in order to contribute to the local tourism development.
Since January 2007, the Polynesian
gouvernment put in place a new service
charge. This 1% tax is planned to increase
of 1% per year for 3 years. |
